  • Job Title: Howe Methodist Church Youth Minister

    Part Time: 10 hours per week

    Salary: $10k – $15k (based on experience)

    Job Description

    We are looking for an individual who is excited to step into a Pastoral and leadership role to grow the HMC Youth program. Responsible for leading our youth ministry, which includes teaching, discipleship, outreach, and fellowship activities. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Sr. Pastor to develop biblically based and theologically sound curriculum for students in grades 6-12 that is engaging, asks the difficult questions of faith and life, and encourages a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive youth ministry program that meets the spiritual needs of our students and teaches Scripture in a way that is engaging and relevant to young people.

    • Build relationships with parents and families to create a supportive and cohesive community

    • Build relationships with students by being an active presence at school events

    • Coordinate and lead Wednesday night youth program

    • Teach MS/HS Sunday School (9 am)

    • Coordinate and lead 2-3 youth service projects per year

    • Lead sermon 2-3 times per year when the Sr. Pastor is absent

    • Attend Monthly Church Council meetings and serve as the representative of the Youth Ministry.

    • Attend Sunday services (10am)

    Qualifications:

    • A personal and committed relationship to Jesus Christ

    • Ability to lead by example through upstanding moral character, responsible stewardship of the Youth Ministry finances, and exhibiting the Fruits of The Spirit.

    • A completed or in-progress Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Theology, Divinity, Christian Education, etc.)

    • Experience within a Youth Ministry program (Participant, leader, or volunteer) preferred but not required

    • Ability to collaborate with and lead youth and volunteers and communicate with kids and adults alike.

    • Acceptance of Wesleyan theology and/or background in Methodism is preferred but not required

  • Job Description

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $25.00 per hour

    Sunday mornings: 9am – 11am

    Job Description:Provide care to children and infants, which includes…

    • Feeding & changing diapers

    • Maintaining a safe environment

    • Putting children down for naps, holding, sitting with and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, and play.

    • Ensure the nursery is staffed until all children are picked up by parent or guardian

    Requirements:

    • Prior nursery/childcare experience preferred but not required

    • Must be age 18+

    • Complete a background check and maintain Safety Certification, all of which are done through our partnership with MinistrySafe.

    • Be dependable, reliable and punctual.

    • Abide by HMC policies
